BlackBerry Curve 8300 and Mobilink

#1

Hi,

I installed Yahoo Messenger on my BlackBerry Curve 8300 but it doesn't connect. Says "Service is not enabled for this handset".

Similarly some other softwares like Opera Mini 4 is not working saying can't find access point. Although I have found some solutions on other forums not tried yet but wants to know if these kind of services are provider dependent? I mean has Mobilink blocked them or what?

You have to make an accesspoint in your blackberry, make a acesspoint with these settings

acesspoint=internet

username=mobilink

password=mobilink

But my blackberry has already got an access point if I am not wrong. Because I can browse websites using default browser plus I am also using Google Talk and EQO(msn + yahoo + aol + icq)

So some applications not requiring access point is only true for BlackBerry?

Because on my Nokia no matter what the application is it requires access point and every thing works.
