Probably used C2D 1.8GHz or round about there.

Dell Optiplex 745 in used core 2 duo (1.8, 1 gb ram and 80 gb sata hd) is also available for 11400

http://www.galaxy.com.pk/used-tower.htm

please scroll down and find the used core 2 duo machine.

thanks dear brothers

plz forget galxy . com and sugest me what should i buy dell or hp

which board is better

what is maine difference in ddr2 and ddr3 ram

which components i should not compromise at any cost

and which are extras i mean without them i can manage

(i dont play much games)

what power supply is better?

here r the answers to your questions below:

--dell or hp both are good

--dell or hp come with their own branded motherboards

--ddr 3 is faster then ddr 2 and is cheaper at the moment

--as you dont game so there is no need to buy a graphic card

--hp or dell will come with their own branded power supply so both are good

u say that i can sacrifice graphic card

ok dear

what about hp dc7800 (is it c2d or only dual core only)

my friend have bought

hp dc7800

2.9 mhz processor

1 gb ram

80 gb hard

alos a grahic card ( i dont know which one)

in Rs. 9500

what is ur opinion about it

bhai... I did not say sacrifice graphic card, If you dont play games and only watch movies and internet, then also because of your small budget there is no

need of graphic card.

In my earlier post I have given you both options of buying either second hand or new. This is because of your limited budget. I will also suggest to you that try to buy

as much new parts as you can as they last longer. Second hand is just that, second hand meaning less life on the parts. Who knows how long it will last.

Whether you are buying hp or dell. what really matters is how much the machine is used for. All parts of computer have a certain life after that it will start giving you problems.

If I were you I would either increase my budget or just buy brand new machine with a dual core atom processor for 11900 rs. The rest is up to to you.

Caution: I would not recommend any atom pc. I have a very bad experience with it. Yes it is cheap, but worthless piece of trash. Even I would suggest a 3.0 GHz used P4 with HT over an atom based pc. You can get a good P4 in something like Rs. 8000.

thanks a lot my dear friends

for ur interest

like I told the op here either get some money together and buy dual core first choice or get an atom processor based machine second choice.

Intel alone posted sales of 10 billion last year alone and atom platforms was a considerable part of that. So they must have done something right there.

I will go on and advise you though go for the new generation and dual core atom as they are better in performance then older onces. I used a via 1 gia pro based machine

which is actually similar to atom based machines for 2 years. I had no problems in going around the internet, using it for office work (word, printing and such) or playing movies

on it.

although a Intel dual core or core 2 duo system is more preferable obviously.

Thanks for sharing the link..If you assemble the PC with your own configurations then you can get the PC of your own requirements..

plz dear brothers i need little interest from u.

It will be kind gesture for me.

another friend of mine had the same question as you and I have told him that the first things which develop problems in second hand computers are harddisk, motherboard and ram. I have seen second hand hard disks develop problems in the first 3 months of usage. Therefore I have suggested my friend the following system which i will suggest for you as well.

mobo intel dg41rq..................4000 (new)

ram kingston ddr 2.................1400 (new)

hd 250 gb maxtor sata 2........3300 (new)

power supply china................500 (new)

pro intel dual core 2.7............3000 (second hand) (if you can find a second hand core 2 duo in thi price then you can use that as well)

case......................................500 (second hand)

dvd r......................................1000 (second hand)

total: 13700

this computer is far more long lasting then a complete second hand machine because the main parts are new.

i dont think that new part are easily available in my city sadiq abad

how can i buy them

is it good choice buying online?

or manual method is better

manual mehtod is better obviously, the risk is there of shipment damage (but if the parts are new then there will be warranty ofcourse)

to get more details you can contact galaxy, beliscity because these ship pcs in a lot of towns in pakistan. Try to buy the hard drive first as their

rates are still increasing day by day.

beliscity where you can find hard drives:

http://www.beliscity...t_us/pages.html

galaxy where you can find rest of the items:

http://www.galaxy.co...ment-option.htm

if you are going for shipping i would suggest get galaxy to get all parts fitted together except for the hard drive (these are too expensive on galaxy there but not on beliscity ,

get the hard drive from there as soon as possible)

then when you get all the parts shipped to you, take it to a local store, have them put in the hard drive and windows and you are good to go.
