Any Rogain/Regain (Minoxidil) users, where can I buy it?

#1

Anyone using Rogain or Regain. I can't find where to buy it locally in reasonable price.

Alfatah store in Lahore is selling on extremely expensive rates. If someone know a store even in Karachi then I will ask someone to send me.

Please let me know any local online or physical store?

You probably want it for use as a hair spray? It is available in Pakistan by the name of "Hair-Max Plus" spray will set you back for about 600 and it get used up in some 20 odd days. The minoxidil spay is available in different concentrations (2% and 5% maybe) so you need to be sure which one you need.

An advice: being a medical student i would advise you to consult the skin specialist if you are having problems regarding hair fall because the treatment regimen for male type baldness (supposing you have that problem) also includes other agents like androgen inhibitors the therapy of which need to be closely monitored.

Thanks for the reply, but this seems something different. Basically Rogain/Regain comes in the form of foam which is to be applied twice a day, and its very expensive, like $65 for 3/4 months of usage. About doctor, yes I am in touch with the doctor.

Rogain is just a brand name for Minoxidil, and in Pakistan I have seen 5% minoxidil with the brand name "Minoxin". I am sure there will be a few more local or imported brands. Check Fazal Din's

BTW if you can find it, you can get Nizoral 2% shampoo and use it twice a week. I've read that its also effective in treating hair fall.

Syed Ali Sahab i am from karachi and nowadays i am using Minixidil 5% which is also available in markets with other alternate name " Hair Max Plus ".The cost of minoxin spray Rs.410... Add me on Msn for further information My email address is Bestshakeel@hotmail.com

^ is it working or just another useless spray and are there any side affects?

#8

It works in most of the cases if the cause of your hair fall is indeed androgenic alopecia / male pattern baldness, which is common in men. Read up more on minoxidil and the types of baldness it can treat.

Its effects still vary from person to person; from very less hair restoration to excellent! The most important thing to realize is that you won't get instant results, rather you will have to wait at least 1/2 months to see any significant improvement.

This drug like many others is also not without side effects so always keep that in mind and do a search on its side effects.

Hair fall will start again if you discontinue its use.

Doc, what are the possible side-effects, if any, of its long-term use? Long term use because its not effective in the short run and hair start falling again if you stop using it. At least that’s what I’ve read.

Theoretically speaking here is the list

http://www.drugs.com/mtm/minoxidil.html

but practically speaking these are very rare (there is one thing that you need to handle it carefully because its only for your hair so don't try it on e.g, your eyes) :)

#14

Righto. Are you using it? If so, since when? Any positive results?

#15

Well I am using it from last 8 m0nths, its a great formula to restore your hair, u can get it from rwp in almost 400 to 500 rupees and 0ne bottle last alm0st 20 days. The main thing is that u have to keep using it till the time u want ur hairs on ur head. Its main sides are itchness in head, dark circles around eyes, fast heartbeat, little fuzzy hairs all ovr ur face but usually they are invisible.

#16
this doctor is advising ..should i act upon his advise. i hate my eyebrows

#17

also tell me minoxin 5% and minoxidil rogaine which is of 2500/- rs . which one is good?

#18

Min0xdil rogain u r talking about is da same thing as min0xin but minoxdil rogain is I think in foam form nd min0xin in soluti0n form.

Both have the same effectiveness. Foam form will not make ur hair look dull while minoxin 5% when full absorbed and dried make ur hair look little dull.

#19

@ far4z are u noticing positive results???? is it just stopping ur hair fall or makin it regrow?? n how much u hav waited to see the results....
