Any one interested in Google Earth 3D rendering

#1

I would like to find out if anyone interested in or involved in rendering 3D models in google earth, i am interested in creating 3D models of famous pakistani landmarks and buildings, i find "google sketchup" to be a good launching pad. if anyone interested please let me know in this thread, since it should be a collaborative effort. little knowledge of graphics rendering would come handy.

if you are interested then you should check this out.

I actually made a few models using Google Sketchup. I was actually making a whole layout of my house floor by floor. I was making all the rooms and everything and if i could also add the furniture in it then it would be a perfect duplicate of my house [:D].

Google Sketchup is fun.

I was trying the same thing, but I couldn’t figure out the layout properly so I gave up. Designed a writing table instead!

But yeah, SketchUp is really fun, very easy. I’m going to try the house again in a few days when I get the time…

Actually pretty addictive. Once you get the hang of it you dont want to stop. Its just drag and pull or push and you make really awesome 3D objects. Here's what i have made so far of my home :D.. Its not great as im learning it but its really fun. Its not completed though. I was working on the ground floor actually and made like 60% of it.

There's just 2 more rooms and a pathway and some stairs which lead to the upper floors to be constructed. That big room is the TV Lounge.. The small room in the bottom left is the room for guests. The big brown door is a sliding door. the left room is the Dining Room and the room on the top left is the kitchen. Still 2 more rooms remaining.

Its unbelivable how easily one can add so much detail and create a 3D object so easily. This model of my house i started creating only 1 day after i started using Sketch up.
