Acer x203H BD widescreen LCD, is it good?

I saw this ad on a website.

The price is very good for this LCD, but is it durable? Has anyone of you tried it?

I am planning to buy it, it would be nice if i could get any reviews from you guys.

go with samsung if you can.... the are the leaders when it comes to lcd with view sonic a close second... don' care for anyone else...

compare the specs with other brands specially the response time . the lesser the response time the better its performance would b.

on which site you saw this ad , or from where one could buy this ? in karachi.

I got one Acer 17" LCD brand new on a friday evening. and I just returned it on Monday morning. the colors were faded out completely in just 2 days. And got one of View Sonic 17" wide in replacement.

after that I didn't even think to buy any thing by Acer :/

Yea i like Samsung myself and they're better than Acer. By the way, whats special in this LCD ?

actually this is 16:10 and thats n odd aspect ratio , thats y it is cheap !

the better is 16:9 ratio.

here are the user reviews for acer x203h

ok i got it,

bought it for rs 12800 with company warranty card.

picture is nice and crisp....so far so good

lets see how it does in the long run

so is it 16:10 or 16:9 ?

plus how is the stand quality ?

it is 16:9 actually, as i have a ati 4670 512 mb, it supports the configuration so no problem.

the stand quality is normal and thin, i would have preferred a better more sturdier stand, the lcd is

pretty big but due to the stand lies a little low on the desktop but no biggie but i can easily use a telephone

directories to raise it.

actually i would prefer the lower heights of the LCDs bcz of the environment where i use the same , well i m also looking to have the same one like yours IF it is worth to buy !

pros for this lcd

--Contrast Ratio: 10000:1, no other lcd on the market comes with this ratio for this price.

--5ms response time

--it is 20 inches and pretty big and i mean my last monitor was 22 inches i still feel this is a big lcd

--it is so bright that i had to turn the brightness down so it wouldnt give me a headache

--5 preset modes so that you can switch from gaming to graphics setting with the press of a button, (i love this option)

Cons:

ok base not of sturdy quality

power button is below the blue light in the front so you gotta be careful pushing it up.. to start lcd.. but you get used to it

minimum adjustments, it just tilts a little back and forward

no dvi input, but it is still clear and sharp none the less

i did my homework and knew about all this stuff before buying so no regrets..the pros and price was right for me

in the end it is upto you, research it a little bit more if you can then make a decision

thanks for the info dear !

Can you please tell me:

1) From where did you buy it for 12800? I want to buy it but I find only czone selling it and that for 13K

2) Does it have DVI port? A guy here says it does’nt but I saw the specs sheet and it said it did!

3) SPeakers included in the package? Can I connect headphones with the monitor directly?

4) Your recommendation on going for this monitor?

Your prompt reply would be appreciated, cuz I intend to buy this on Saturday along with a 4650 XFX.
