A Paypal Alternate For Pakistan?

i was just going through my feed reader and found this article on telecompk.net:

http://telecompk.net/2008/05/19/obopay-offers-foreign-remittance-service-over-mobile-phones/

and in this article https://www.amaana.com/ is mentioned which looks like paypal type site

so guys what do you think about it

i have not tried it nor i have any experience with paypal like sites

The other day I was looking at the zarco exchange site and I noticed they offer an online remittance system that takes credit cards. Maybe thats something that will go down well with US buyers. Mostly though they are too lazy to try some new payment system.

http://www.zarcoexchange.com/

Looks to me it's only good for sending 10 to 100 rupees to someone through its SMS system (and that too only in Pakistan).

i tried registring but every time it returned with invalid ID card number

get a debit card from ikobo(visa) or payoneer(mastercard) or something similar. if you're working for someone online, they can charge your debit card with monies, which you can spend online just as you would with a credit card.

if you want to accept payment then the alternative is www.2checkout.com

and if you want to pay via paypal offcourse the problem is to pass verifications just let me know i am able to make Virtual visa cards you can purchase from me to register ebay or paypal :)

moneybookers.com

yea monybookers.com is really cool too, i was just checking and article of Paypal/Ebay sucks conducted by Money(BBC) and from there i found an alternative suggested by them = http://xcoin.com/

I have checked few and here are My views

Paypal = Very good for Buyers only (for Seller it just Sucks)

2Checkout = Very Good Specially for pakistani who want to sell goods to world(But be sure to have good return Policy to secure yourself)

Google Checkout = Really Awsome if you live in U.k or USA leave everything just go with google checkout it is really cool with protection to seller , low fee i am using it in 90% of my transaction and that is damn cool.

moneybooker.com = very good specially there no chargeback policy. but the limits are the problem (you can remove them by providing proofs) not very good because the market is very limited.

www.moneybookers.com :)

nice sharing

well, ikobo is dead.

has anybody tried payoneer? is it good?

Not Trust worthy

what would you recommend?

i need something that allows other people to send me monies and some sort of a debit card to use on the internet (ikobo did both). i guess i'll have to go with western union plus a debit card from a local bank...

PayPal is a bit more secure as it has been going on for some time now and it has positive reviews and also it does the transaction over an SSL line.Dont know what our one does from..If it doesnt use a SSL then its quite risky @_@.LOL

cant use paypal here though!

paypal is trusted and also over thousands of websites providing online sale and purchase with pay pal.

obviously paypal is not providing its services in pakistan.

for that you can go for Google Checkout. https://checkout.google.com/

yes you know its trusted. dont you?

and that is also not over thousands but hunderds of sites have been integrated with it (http://www.google.com/checkout/m.html), and more are going to be with them because they have cheaper packages for the sellers than the paypal.

oh i thought checkout didnt work here either

Hun who said u cant use it?.U can if u got a Visa or Mastercard u know

oh neat, so ill check checkout out! thanks

I can be wrong too so be sure to check it out..But as far as i know if u got a Visa or mastercard u can just get the money on that and later transferr it onto someother local bank of yours...hmm i'll check on this issue tommorow ^^

*EDIT*:

Hmm seems Checkout isnt available in Pakistan yet..and neither is paypal but u can try the method i stated above....Other options u have are:

1. CCNOW

2. 2CO

3. WorldPay
