1MB VS 3G Connection

#1

What is difference between 1MB and 3G connection except, 3g is wireless technology?

#2

1MB stands for 1 megabyte which is 1024 kilobytes. 3G stands for 3rd generation mobile phone technology.

Thanks I know this, what i mean is difference among speed ? 3G is refer to mobile tech but does it similar to something as we count in RAM:

1MB = 1024kb

1GB = 10MB

so

3g = 3mb ???

1bit is a single binary digit i.e. either a 1 or 0

1Byte is 8 bits

1KB (kilobyte) is 1024 bytes

1MB (megabyte) is 1024KB

1GB (gigabyte) is 1024MB.

1TB (terabyte) is 1024GB

Actually there is no comparison between 1MB and 3G. Its like comparing apples and oranges. 1MB is storage capacity while 3G is class of mobile phone technology. I think what you meant by your original question is "what is the difference between 1Mbps wired internet connection and a 3G wireless internet connection?"

1Mbps (simple “b”) would be 1 million bits per second. 3G is supposed to have a maximum speed of around 380 Kbps or 380,000 bits per second when mobile and 2.4 Mbps when stationary. Unfortunately in Pakistan 3G is much slower than wired internet access so you’ll be lucky if you get 512Kbps or 0.5Mbps.

1GB =10MB?didn’t get it actually, 1024 meg = 1 gig…

but it was made 1000 coz hardware factories cut the extra 24 to make work easier…
